Martynov Portfolio


Martynov's drawing/watercolors of the dogs have been published in the "Album of dogs on the first six exhibition" 1874-1879 in Moscow) in 1879 and 1880. The Russians Tsar was Alexander II (emperor in the years 1855-1881)



Not much is known about N. A. Martynow, despite his recognition in the highest social levels as a leading artist and the premier draftsman of the Russian Empire under Tsar Nicholas I, and that much of his artwork was preserved in museums in St. Petersburg
