Magna of Romanoff is pictured with her 1935 litter sired by Otrava of Romanoff. Magna was bred by Louis Murr of the famous Romanoff kennel, and owned by Robert Charles of Long Island, NY. She was a self black bitch with very sparse white markings whelped September 7, 1933, sired by Tibor of Romanoff ex Sorva of Romanoff II. She was an important link in Borzoi history, as from this pictured litter, Louis Murr took a stud fee puppy who became Ajax of Romanoff, a dog who sired Tyddo of Romanoff, a well known stud. Magna’s second litter was in 1939 with Count Dracula as the sire. This litter also had a huge impact on the breed through Great Rubinoff of Bratzlaf.
