The Borzoi Encyclopedia (TBE)
The International Borzoi Encyclopedia group is an association of borzoi enthusiasts from all parts of the world. It is formally located in Sweden and operated under Swedish law. It is a nonprofit organization and a voluntary membership fee is 10€/10$ per year. Members can choose to become Life members by donating 50€/50$ or more. To become a member of TBE, (The Borzoi Encyclopedia) one must click the New Member button, fill in the form, accept the rules in accordance with the GDPD laws and be approved by the Board.
Only members can contribute material and only members have full access to published material and to the studbooks. Every contributor is responsible for their own material, but all material will be reviewed and accepted by an editor before publication. Material from private collections can be referred to as “From my collection”, where “my” is the contributor’s name. On original material produced by the contributor like Pictures, Art, Articles or Other, a Copyright sign can be used. In all cases a reference to the TBE Declaration can be used.
The ambition of TBE is to be multilingual; therefore, approved text can be translated, adapted and published in languages other than the original.
Historical articles are first placed under Tools/ Review unpublished. When approved it will be published and placed in the Updates group/History . New registered borzoi is placed under Tools/ Review new borzoi. When approved the dogs will be published and placed in the Updates group/Borzoi.
The site shall be made available to all Borzoi enthusiasts. The complete historic articles and material are available to members. Visitors to the site can read and examine excerpts complete with an urge: “Become a member and see the complete material”.
Parts of the content in the database can be used as course literature for prospective judges and breeders, bearing in mind and respecting copywritten material.
As a courtesy to contributors (owners) of published material we ask that no part of this project be copied and used elsewhere without permission from the contributor (owner) or from TBE. Contributed material can be watermarked with contributor’s name.
TBE will work together with, and seek support from, any borzoi-oriented organization anywhere in the world.
