Mr. Guy of Sleeping Bear

from Borzoi Past group, Sue E.A. Vasick: <<Mr. Guy of Sleeping Bear was bred and owned by Mr & Mrs Chester Clark of Sleeping Bear kennels in America. He was white with sparse cream sable markings, born July 12, 1952, sired by Nicholas of Sleeping Bear out of Musidora. He was named in honor of the Clark's friend in England, breeder Ernest H. Guy, and sired only one registered litter during his lifetime, in 1954 when bred to Ziada of Whiskey Run Hill. From this litter came Jim Barr’s first ever Borzoi, Dimity and Lace of Whiskey Run, and her brother White Horse of Whiskey Run, both who helped form the foundation of the very important Sunbarr kennel and onward to other influential kennels.
