Chudak of Romanoff

from Borzoi Past group, Sue EA Vasick: <American Ch. Chudak of Romanoff was whelped on July 14, 1960, Chudak was bred by Leigh-Mary Louise Murr and owned by Irmgard Thompson of Kry-Lyesa kennel. His sire was Vigow of Romanoff III and his dam Tatiana of Alpine. Though not a tall dog, Chudak was built very well and as a stud he was quite potent. He sired three litters, one for Kry-Lyesa, one for Conamor and the other for Majenkir. That sounds just fine, but in truth some of his offspring were Majenkir Alicia Alexandra [dam of Majenkir Gyrfalcon], Conamor Christof Cade [sire of Cathcade litters, including Cathcade Curio], Conamor Count Tauskey [hugely important for the Majenkir kennels, sire of Snow Stag and Apollonian Tsar, among others], Balalaika Kry-Lyesa [dam of Shere Kahn’s Shehadi] and so many more who stamped their mark on the breed. Chudak has gone down in history as one of the top studs of the 1960's in America.>
