Matalona Tawny Owl

from Borzoi Past Group, Sue E.A. Vasick: <<A beautiful irish marked orange sable with black mask, Matalona Tawny Owl was bred and owned by Eileen Ruggles of the Matalona kennel in England. She was whelped October 12, 1974, and from a repeat breeding which produced Matalona Nightsong Hawk, who came to America. Owl was sired by Francehill Warlord out of Deanlands Anna of Matalona, and was the dam of three litters from 1976 through 1978. One daughter from the 1977 litter went to the Leicros kennel in Sweden, while other offspring also bred on for various kennels. The line seems to have died out in the late 1980’s, however.>>
