Vrozyat Alpine Tartar Prince

Vrozyat Alpine Tartar Prince

From Borzoi Past, Sue E.A. Vasick: <Vrozyat Alpine Tartar Prince – aka ‘Petey ‘ – was a large black and tan Borzoi bred by Bobbye Potter of Alpine kennel in California and owned by Phyllis Johnson. Petey was quite a character from all accounts, and although overshadowed by his more popular brother Vrozyat Alpine Chuda, he did sire a number of nice quality litters, producing at least 6 Champions and 3 CD's. He was born July 29, 1960, sired by Chuda of Alpine out of Nadja of Alpine, and had a very old California-type pedigree going back to Adams breeding with a dash of English thrown in. He sired for Aristoff, Yermak, Ramadan, Locksley Hall and Van Strom, but few offspring bred on and then for only a few generations, with the exception of Dark Duel of Aristoff, still found way back behind Crescents Arctic Glacier through his dam.>
