Lanel’s Kaitan Khanazar

 

From Borzoi Past group, Sue E.A. Vasick: <<American, Canadian and Mexican Ch. Lanel’s Kaitar Khanazar was a white dog with silver spots bred in Canada by Laura Nel. He was born April 9, 1983, sired by Loral’s Jhaan Khanazar ex Seabury’s Delia. Kaitar was a Borzoi with no extremes, except perhaps his temperament, which was as sweet and friendly as they come. While owned by Laura, he sired five litters in Canada and America. He eventually went to live with Ray and Pat Ellis of Sundance Borzoi in California, where he was heavily campaigned at the shows, winning MBIS and BISS's and eventually becoming America’s #1 Borzoi. He also sired three co-bred litters with John Sazy’s Iyengar kennel - even producing a BIS son – and at least two litters were conceived after his death, using frozen semen.  Pictured at 5 years of age>>
