Flame of Volga

Sunbarr Flame of Volga

American Ch. Sunbarr Flame of Volga was bred by Jim Barr of Sunbarr kennel; he was offered as a puppy as a Best of Breed trophy at a MBC specialty and won by Bruna Henry of Volga kennel when her Vronsky of Volga took BOB and later on Best In Show. His ‘initial’ name was Sunbarr’s Eternal Flame, but it was changed to accommodate the Volga name. Flame was a bright red irish spotted dog born April 20, 1966, sired by Beau Gest of Sunbarr Ranch out of Sophia of Sunbarr Ranch. He easily finished for his Championship and went on to sire litters for Malora and Obskaya. He is the grandsire of Lenindav’s Ali Khan of Malora, a dog behind old Khanzade breeding, and is also behind some of the Somerset dogs through Maschenka of Obskaya.
