Honey Baby

Honey Baby of Neva Jskra

From Borzoi Past:  <<Bred by Lafayette Gowin in Texas, Honey Baby of Neva Jskra was whelped July 21, 1939. She was a cream colored bitch with white trim sired by Grosny O’Valley Farm out of Neva Jskra, a bitch who was of Dutch and American bloodlines. Honey Baby was originally owned by Samuel Bond but eventually acquired by Eileen Worthing of Malora fame, who bred her first in 1942 to Adam’s Bolshoi to produce Boi, a dog who figured strongly in Ladoga pedigrees. Three years later, Baby was bred to Prince Sergei Ivanovitch, a mating which produced Shandu The Shadow of Malora and Bourtai of Malora. Bourtai had a small influence on Twin Elms breeding, while Shandu’s influence was mostly felt through Whiskey Run kennel.>>
