There is 60 borzoi in the studbook bred or owned by Madame Pavin de Lafarge. It starts in 1910 and the last entry is from 1923.
Here are the elements that I have on Pospeck… I copy the texts, it will be easier for the translation.
In fact, Pospeck was imported from Russia by Mrs. Serf-Van Nieuwkuyk (future Mrs. Teissonnière), not by Mrs. Pavin de Lafarge (Ozolles breeding).
The texts below are written by Henry Sodenkamp (“Hunting and Fishing” magazines of May 4, 1912 and April 13, 1912).
“We are pleased to offer our readers the portrait of a Russian greyhound, recently imported by Mrs. Serf-van Nieuwkuyk: Pospeck, by Pilaï out of Radost, comes from the breeding of Baroness de Korff of Moscow. C he is a white dog with orange spots, born on April 5, 1907, who already knew the victory in his own country before coming to France. Indeed, in Moscow, in 1910, Pospeck obtained the big silver medal, the most high distinction in open class and, being part of the group, the gold medal.
In Brussels (S.R.S.H.), on April 6, 7 and 8, exhibited under the undersigned, he obtained in beautiful international competition the 1st prize in open class, the championship certificate and the honorary prize for the most beautiful Russian greyhound, dog or bitch. This high distinction is all the more valuable because Pospeck was not in good fur condition and I had to give him credit in this regard. The description of the dog and its points of excellence can be found in the April 13 issue. I refer the owners of beautiful female dogs to this description when it comes to choosing an excellent stallion. All our compliments to the energetic Mrs. Serf, who thus endows breeding in general with a powerful means of improvement. »
And here are the notes of Mr. Sodenkamp’s judgments on Pospeck in Brussels:
“For the Borzois that I was presented with, I have nothing but praise, although the class was very difficult to judge because of the difference in the type of competitors coming from four different countries: Russia (France), Germany , Holland and Belgium.
After a general examination of the teeth, satisfactory in all, I chose for the honors of the 1st prize, championship certificate and prize of honor, Pospeck… He is a male of rather average size, but typically Russian, with a very fine head down to the smallest detail, excellent bone structure, very correctly arched back, on well bent hocks. Dog full of temperament, walking very well. He appeared to have shed very recently with slight inflammation of the skin. With a little more size and in good condition, this dog can present itself in the best society. The nose was a little hooked, which I in no way consider a fault, and what it recommends for the protrusion of bitches with the back of a curved nose, showing this stop which is so disfigured by a pretty Borzoi head. »
Mrs. Serf sold Pospeck to Mrs. Pavin de Lafarge in 1914 at the latest (at this date she is the owner on the catalogs) and it was also registered in the LOF by Mrs. Pavin de Lafarge.
This was done quite frequently at this time, with imports passing easily from hand to hand after use.
As for saying if it appears on one of the photos, I do not allow myself to advance me, the elements which can affirm it not being sufficient.

“Nous avons le plaisir d’offrir à nos lecteurs le portrait d’un lévrier russe, récemment importé par Mme Serf-van Nieuwkuyk : Pospeck, par Pilaï hors de Radost, provient de l’élevage de la Baronne de Korff de Moscou. C’est un chien blanc à taches orange, né le 5 avril 1907, qui connut déjà la victoire dans son propre pays avant de venir en France. En effet, à Moscou, en 1910, Pospeck obtint la grande médaille d’argent, la plus haute distinction en classe ouverte et, faisant partie du groupe, la médaille d’or.
A Bruxelles (S.R.S.H.), les 6, 7 et 8 avril dernier, exposé sous le soussigné, il obtint en belle concurrence internationale le 1er prix en classe ouverte, le certificat de championnat et le prix d’honneur pour le plus beau lévrier russe, chien ou chienne. Cette haute distinction a d’autant plus de valeur que Pospeck n’était pas en belle condition de fourrure et que j’ai dû lui faire crédit sous ce rapport. On trouvera la description du chien et de ses points d’excellence dans le numéro du 13 avril. Je renvoie les propriétaires de belles chiennes à cette description quand il s’agira de faire choix d’un excellent étalon. Tous nos compliments à l’énergique Mme Serf, qui dote ainsi l’élevage en général d’un moyen puissant d’amélioration. »
Et voici les notes des jugements de M. Sodenkamp sur Pospeck à Bruxelles :
« Pour les Barzoïs qu’on m’a présentés, je n’ai que des éloges, bien que la classe fût fort difficile à juger à cause de la différence du type des concurrents venant de quatre pays différents : Russie (France), Allemagne, Hollande et Belgique.
Après un examen général de la denture, satisfaisante chez tous, j’ai choisi pour les honneurs du 1er prix, certificat de championnat et prix d’honneur, Pospeck … C’est un mâle de taille plutôt moyenne, mais typiquement russe, avec une fort belle tête dans les moindres détails, une excellente ossature, un dos très correctement arqué, sur des jarrets bien coudés. Chien plein de tempérament, marchant fort bien. Il semblait avoir mué très récemment avec une légère inflammation de la peau. Avec un peu plus de taille et en belle condition, ce chien peut se présenter dans la meilleure société. Le nez était un peu busqué, ce que je ne considère nullement comme une faute, et ce que le recommande pour la saillie des chiennes à dos de nez incurvé, montrant ce stop que défigure tant une jolie tête de Barzoï. »
Mme Serf a cédé Pospeck à Mme Pavin de Lafarge en 1914 au plus tard (à cette date elle en est la propriétaire sur les catalogues) et il a aussi été inscrit au LOF par Mme Pavin de Lafarge.
Cela se faisait assez fréquemment à cette période, les importés passant facilement de mains en mains après utilisation.
Quant à dire s’il figure sur l’une des photos, je ne me permets pas de m’avancer, les éléments pouvant l’affirmer n’étant pas suffisants.
