Da-Bob's Kondor of Phantom Lake

from Borzoi Past group, Sue E.A. Vasick: <<American Ch. Da-Bob’s Kondor of Phantom Lake was bred in America by Donald Robb and originally owned by S. Gladstein and Phyllis Brettell. He was then sold to Bonnie Nichols of Nickolai kennel and became her foundation stud. Kondor was a lovely dark cream sable with white trim born August 2, 1970. He was sired by Vala Rama’s Phoenix of Sunbarr out of Sirhan Govorushka, and did very well for Bonnie in siring several litters for her. He also sired one litter for Windrift from which two offspring bred on.>>

Vala Rama's The Bird Watcher

from Borzoi Past Group, Sue E.A. Vasick: <<Carla Banas of Kismet kennel was not in our breed very long, but she began with some wonderful bloodlines through her bitch, Vala Rama’s The Bird Watcher. Birdie was a black bitch with white trim and brindle markings whelped August 13, 1973. Her sire was Vala Rama’s Phoenix of Sunbarr and her dam Vala Rama’s Funny Girl. In 1978, she was bred to Nightsong A Debonaire Dandy, but no offspring bred on. The next year she co-bred a litter with Bonnie Nichols by breeding her to Bonnie’s Da-Bob’s Kondor of Phantom Lake.
