Vigow Romanoff

Vigow of Romanoff

Besides being a superb and record-setting show dog, Vigow is known to this day for his siring ability.  He founded a dynasty as a stud, and his blood can be found behind Borzoi throughout the world today, many times with 25-35 crosses to him in a pedigree.  He was prepotent for both his type and quality and his fairy tale story is well documented.

In 1937 at the Morris & Essex show, all winners were measured and weighted. Vigow was measured as 31,5 inches high and weighing 97 pounds. (80cm and 44 kg).
