Ch Blistai

given as “Blaistad and Kasa,” and the location was the USA.

The name “Blaistad” seemed incorrect – most likely a spelling mistake for the Borzoi-typical name “Blistai.” Judging from the photograph, it appears to have been taken at a dog show, and the dogs were probably owned by the same person.

Based on show catalogues and AKC stud book records, I believe that the dog in the foreground is Austin’s Kas(z)a

Blistai

192691 (Baron O – Mueller’s Queenie), born in 1914, and the dog behind him is Ch. Blistai 214649 (Varatai Vladeska – Zira O’Valley Farm), born in 1915.

Cataloge

From 1917 onward, both dogs were owned by Mr. Vincent Pisarra, who exhibited them together at several shows in 1917.
