This beautiful [old] Christmas card was sent to Ernest Henry Guy sometime in the 1930’s. The sender’s name could not be made out, unfortunately. The front of the card is graced with a hand-stamped metal portrait of three Borzoi heads. The detail is exquisite and unfortunately did not scan well enough to be shown.

Cecilia Häggström “Ca Frosco Cinnamon, Zandor”
He was bred in Italy by Elena Bertolini and owned in Sweden by Margareta Syren and Cecilia Häggström. His life was ended in the most terrible way. On an evening walk in the streets in Stockholm a brick from a house wall came loose, fell and hit Zandor on his head. He died immediately… We have by kindness
