Edwin Landseer is considered one of the worlds finest painters of animals, especially dogs. He is also famous for having a dog breed named after him. Landseers (black/white Newfoundlands).

 He was bred in Italy by Elena Bertolini and owned in Sweden by Margareta Syren and Cecilia Häggström. His life was ended in the most terrible way. On an evening walk in the streets in Stockholm a brick from a house wall came loose, fell and hit Zandor on his head. He died immediately… We have by kindness
