Batay

Bataiy Perchino

Batayi Perchino (Imp Russia) was born 3/3/1909 and sent to Mr Pellison in France in June 1912. He is actually Batayi Perchino III by Grom Perchino x Blestka II Perchino. He sired a litter in Russia in February 1912 then two litters in France for "du Nord" kennels in 1914. The first was to Kasatka (Imp Russia) bred by Perchino and owned by Count Mengden before being exported to France but none of her progeny names are known at present. The second litter from Gatchina du Nord has one known progeny name Fr Ch Wartha du Nord who went to Zwaenhoek kennels in Belgium and has descendants down to modern dogs. Hopefully one day more published records will become available to identify more of Batayi's progeny./Margaret Davis A small clarification - Batay was given to Mr Pellison by Nikolai Nikolayevich in June 1913 (not 1912) when Pellison visited Perchino. At the 1912 Moscow show, Batay received a small silver medal. However, in the list of Perchino dogs compiled in May 1913, he was listed as "unwanted - reject"./Andrus Kozlov
