In 1891 Chas. Stedman Hanks (Seacroft kennel) imported from Russia the borzoi male Likhoi (NB! The Russian name Likhoi in Western sources is written as Leekhoi).

This dog was born in 21. March 1890 in the hunt of Prince Boris Alexandrovich Vassiltchikov (Rezvy Golitzyn - Lebedka I, born10.09.1887, breeder S.Kareev, owner B.Vassiltchikov). In his memoirs, B. Vassiltchikov writes that Lebedka I, which became the ancestor of the Vassiltchikov's borzois, was purchased from Sergei Kareev (Ataman IV Kareev - Zlodeika Kareev). Leekhoi's littermates were Sverkai Vassiltchikov (grandfather of the Golub Perchino (by Charodey Vassiltchikov) also Sorvan, Pokhval II, Zloyan, Nega, Likhodeika.

Leekhoi died in May 1894 from overheating during shipment to Louisville dog show.
