Charlie

Domaj’s Charlemagne

from Borzoi Past group: <<Domaj's Charlemagne was a tri spotted male bred by Donna Jewell and owned by Janet Vandenburgh of Vanzar kennel in New York State. He was sired by Arnolf's Alexander of Domaj out of Fancy Free Duncan and, except for color, took after his dam a lot, which made sense since she was linebred. However, his owner was not a show person, she bred dogs, and so his real potential was never met either as a show dog or a stud dog. He sired only 2 litters, one for Vanzar and one for Stellar. The Vanzar offspring faded into oblivion, but fortunately Charlie's influence can still be found behind the Stellar litter, mostly through Cello, who became the dam of the Windhound "W" litter.>>
