Poraschai (Gleboff) (Imp Russia) born 1893 by Korotai (Gleboff) x Nagradka (Gleboff). Poraschai was sent to Germany in 1895 owned by Baron von Romer then went to M Matti in 1897. There was a litter born 15/8/1896 but sadly Poraschai was a victim of the stupid white craze that someone in the Berlin Borzoi Club was promoting. Some people preferred a poor quality white dog over good quality coloured dogs and some valuable bloodlines were lost in the last half of the 1890s. You can read about the white colour and coat type promotion in the Hund-Sport and Jagd magazines before the editor discontinued their association with the Berlin Borzoi Club for reason of a scandal involving the club's president/judge/ registrar on a different subject. Poraschai's father is the Korotai that went to the UK, received rave reports on his quality and became a UK Champion. His descendants include several champions down to modern dogs./Margaret Davis
