Naletai

Naletai

naletai2

Naletai was shown in Stockholm shortly after his arrival in Sweden. The judge , Norwegian breeder/importer & Judge Marie Knudtzon wrote this about him: " He is a beatiful dog, came closest to winner Ch Boris Romanwsky, seems a bit tired, probably because of a long and troublesome journey from Russia.  Its very good for our breeding of Borzois to get this new blood, which otherwise stands a risk of to much inbreeding"

Naletai and his sister were registered with Korotai-Lillie as parents, breed by Grand Duke Nikolai Nikolaewitsch as breeder.. Their lineage has recently been questioned by Breed researcher Andrus Kozlov, from Tartu, Estonia who claims that no Borzoi with these names were born on Perchino. Instead it seems as they were out of Zlorad - Utecha Perchino, breed by General Stetkevitch  What is true is difficult to prove, so I choose to reproduce both versions, and leave open which version is the right one. What one can agree on is that the situation in Russia over the years after the Russian Revolution was chaotic, and that the lineage of Borzoi was probably not prio one during this time./Dan Persson
