from Borzoi Past group, Sue E.A. Vasick: <Tara of Holly Grove was a well used bitch of Sunbarr bloodlines bred and owned by Malcolm Brandon. She was an irish spotted fawn colored bitch with a black mask whelped June 13, 1962; her sire was Thor of Sunbarr Ranch and her dam Sunbarr’s Star Bright, giving Tara a pedigree linebred to Dimity and Lace of Whiskey Run and Dimity's brother, White Horse of Whiskey Run. Tara had her first litter for Dave and Vi Ristau of Ristovia Borzoi when she was bred to Ristovia’s Quicksilver, a mating which produced Ristovia’s Felwood Boja in early 1963, a large, powerful dog who placed well in groups and sired a multitude of litters, and who is still behind select Borzoi to this day. Tara then returned to her owner where she produced a litter.. She then went back to Ristovia in 1966 for a repeat breeding with Quicksilver, and again was returned to her owner for another litter that year. Although Boja was definitely the most important of her offspring, Ristovia’s Tanya and Boris from the second Silver mating also produced offspring.>
