Elmeur Zoi

Elmuer Zoi Tamihof

From Borzoi Past Group, Sue E.A. Vasick: <<American Ch. Elmuer Zoi Tamihof was one of the first Borzoi Byron and Louenna Avery of Kostenov Borzoi owned. Bred by Mrs. David Hull, she was whelped July 4, 1958 and was white with pale silver markings. Her sire was Yelmorb Kolchak, who went back to O’Baron’s Wood and Adams breeding, and her dam was Walhof Fraun, primarily of Adams and Romanoff breeding. She was first bred in 1963 to Lorraine’s Groshan’s Loral’s Alpha Sverkai, from which Loral’s Kari Kostenov was sent to Lorraine as a stud fee puppy. Tami’s second litter was sired by Kostenov Algernon Moncrieff in 1965, from which Kostenov Billie Dawn bred on. It was Kari Kostenov, however, who had the largest influence on the breed, being the dam of Loral’s Matvey and Mudrei Sava. Tami is pictured on the left with 8 month old Ristovia’s Blue Malinki.
