Kharkoff

A group of 6 month old puppies from Kharkoff kennels NSW. Born February 1934 by Ch Prince Boris (Bechervaise) x Grand Ch Princess Kharkoff who was bred by Frank Bell and born in Brisbane by Commonwealth Grand Ch Oubervay of Addlestone (Imp UK) x Lena of Addlestone (Imp UK). Prince Boris was old Australian line but also had Nagrajdai IV (Imp UK) from the Duchess of Newcastle in his fourth generation.

Although Grand Ch Princess Kharkoff did a great deal of winning and produced two litters, her line did not survive through WWII. Several progeny became champions including two Grand Champions but Kharkoff kennels ceased after two litters. R C Heazlett bred two litters from Ch Rasputin of Kharkoff x Ch Princess Zara of Alkoomie and exported one to Japan in 1937 but I have not discovered the names of any Heazlett progeny. Records from this era are hard to find. Ch Rasputin of Kharkoff is one of the puppies in this photograph.kharkoff
