Cluxton

Madge Cluxton imported many dogs from Canada before she moved back to Canada to look after her mother. She was born and passed away in Canada. She imported dogs from Canada in 19, 21 and in 1922 she purchased the entire kennel of A. V. Webley’s Tolstoi Borzoi from Ottawa, Ontario. (Judy Carleton)

This is the catalogue for Chicago in 1923 where Mrs Cluxton had a bunch of Canadian bred dogs entered. My guess for the dogs in the photo are Romanoff Alex, Morvich of Tolstoi and Czarina of Tolstoi or Romanoff Zanza ie her entries in Limit and Open classes as the rest are puppies. Other photos of these dogs should be able to identify the ones in the photo at Chicago.(Margaret Davis)
