Valley Farm

Valley Farm Kennel first registered with AKC on 17 December 1901 by Joseph B Thomas  Link to more photos here

Kennel transferred to Mobray Palmer on 25 May 1915.

Kennel transferred to Lois Kellogg and Mobray Palmer in partnership on 14 June 1921.

Kennel transferred back to Mobray Palmer 23 October 1929 and Lois Kellogg left with about 90% of the dogs. Remaining dogs were dispersed later.

Lois Kellogg moved to the West coast and established her Perchino kennel, here called Perchino USA.

Emma Biesel was given some of the Valley Farm records and collections of old catalogues etc by Mr Palmer in 1932.

Mobray Palmer died 10 November 1932 and Valley Farm closed down.

On 19 January 1933, the Valley Farm name was registered again by Emma C Biesel of Vladimir kennels in Niverville.

Further research shows Carama Pugh Chantler [Iskra kennel] in Louisiana was working in partnership as the “southern branch” of the revived Valley Farm kennel. (see advertisement)

E C Biesel fell out with AKC in June 1936 and appears to have ceased in dogs.

Some later show catalogues have a few Valley Farm dogs exhibited with dates of birth one in 1937 and two born 1940 (different litters) shown in 1941. Entered as bred and owned by Valley Farm kennels. The actual breeder is unknown at this stage. Possibly C P Chantler or E C Biesel back after a few years break.
