Count Mengden Hunt

The dogs of Dmitry Georgievich Mengden (1870-1952) came mainly from the Pershino hunt and until 1914 successfully participated in exhibitions and cages. At the exhibition in 1913, he exhibited the littermate of the famous Asmodey II Pershino hunt (sold to Germany) Aigun. Some of his dogs were sold in 1913 to France. After the revolution, he and his family, together with G D Nikolai Nikolaevich Romanov, emigrated in April 1919 aboard the English cruiser “Marlborough” to France. Count D.G.Mengden died in 1952 and was buried in the Russian cemetery of Sainte-Geneviève-des-Bois (France)  Here you can find an article by Count Mengden
