Matveev

KD Matveev was said to have taken over 14 borzoi from the abandoned Gatchina hunt and was active from about 1920 to 1935. Matveev should have had an administrative position and played and important role in the restoration of the breed after the revolution.

The Matveev name comes back several times over the years as AN Matveev in the 1980, SD Matveev in 1989 and NI Matveev in 1984 to 2005.
