Lady Emily Peel personally visited Russia in 1856 and participated in a hunt with borzois. The coronation of Russian Emperor Alexander II took place in August 1856 in Moscow. In honor of this event, distinguished guests from other countries were also invited to the celebrations. Lady Emily Peel was the wife of the son of the English Prime Minister Robert Peel, who at that time served as secretary to Lord Granville, who headed the English mission at the coronation celebrations in Moscow. During the coronation festivities on September 18 and 23, a hunt was held for foreign guests, in which Lady Emily Peel took part. The Tsar gave him a present 2 borzois – a male Udaloi with a height of 15 vershoks (66.8 cm) and a female Yazva – a height of 13 vershoks (60.1 cm) and four borzois to other English guests who took part in the hunts.
