Bedford Midas

from Borzoi Past group, Sue E.A. Vasick: <<Eileen Worthing of Malora kennels, then in International Falls, MN, had a wide variety of bloodlines in her kennel, but she was at first partial to the old Canadian lines. She imported Bedford Midas on February 1, 1940 from his breeder, E.B. Johnson in Ontario. Midas was a rich mahogany brindle with sparse white trim, whelped June 27, 1938. His sire was Romanoff Kosloff 2nd [old Canadian Romanoff lines] and his dam, Rubinoff Babe, who also went to Malora. Midas had a huge influence on American breeding even though he sired only two litters. His first, born in 1946, produced Count Korda of Malora, while the second in 1947 produced Shere Khan of Malora and Rozita of Malora. Bedford Midas lives on through their descendants>>
