Count Steinoff

Photo

Text from FB-group "Borzoi Past" Count Steinoff was an attractive white male with limited gold sable markings bred in England by A. Allen and owned by Mr. A. Ashton. He was whelped August 12, 1906 and was of very old English breeding, sired by Steinhardt, a White Tzar grandson, and out of Monoff, a White Tzar granddaughter and sired by Piostri. Count Stenoff was shown in 2 classes at the 1911 Crufts, but was not meant to be titled. However, he did sire three litters from 1908 through 1914, with his most successful being the first, which contained a son named Keiff Steinoff, who was exported to Belgium and became an important sire for the du Nord kennel there./Sue Vasick
