Ulleberg Borzois

Anna & Marie Knudtzon

Anna Jeanette Knudtzon (1860 – 1933) and her daughter  Marie breed borzoi at their kennel Af Ulleberg in the years 1910 to the start of the first world war. Marie Knudtzon was also an often used Dog judge all over Scandinavia, specialist on Borzois and all Toy breeds, of which they kept between 50-100 in their kennel. Their breeding of Toy breeds continued long after they had given up Borzois, and Marie later also added Whippets in the “Af Ulleberg” kennel. Marie Knudtzon later became a nun and the founder of a Monastery in Oslo, Norway.
