Grubian

Grubian Perchino

127 years ago, in January 1898, at an exhibition in Moscow, Grand Duke Nikolai Nikolaevich exhibited a lage collection 52 borzois from Pershino kennel. Among them were littermates Grubian and Groznyij, born in 1895 (Charodei I Vasilchikov - Golubka III Ozerov). Both males received a large silver medal, and three, as a pack, together with Ukrasa, a gold medal. Height for males 76 cm. The mother of these males - Golubka was a littermate of Ataman II Ozerov, imported in 1893 to Holland. The dogs' father, Charodei Vasilchikov, was bought in 1895 in Pershino for 2,000 rubles, which was a very high price for a borzoi. These photos are rare, since almost no photographs of borzois from Pershino have survived before 1900.
